They have great customer service BUT the VPN service is horrible. Been using them for years and have never been really happy. But it has gotten so bad that I download a free VPN Pronto and the speed is day and night difference. Without any VPN I get 96 Mbps With Witopia I get 12 to 20 Mbps with free Proton VPN I get Download Mbps 54.53. I will be signing up for another service what is so sad WiTopia was one of the first VPNs and if they would of put the money into their product they could have been on of the top companies. I cannot give them even a 6 just my opinion They could have been so good. PS this is also true with their Android just not good.
Works well and fast. Very easy interface and lots of different servers. I’ve used a few others and so far this one is my favorite. I use it on iPhone, iPad, and MacOS and it always works great without fail. Highly recommend!
The service when working is ok and has no lag depending on which service you connect with. But nothing to get excited about. I'm confused by those who have been 10 years with them. The windows client on the other hand is heinous. I was for over 6 months denied access to the client as the update informed me my version of Windows 10 was not supported. I had connected customer support various times and they kept telling me to roll back a version. Eventually, there was an update but nobody informed me it was out. I had been unable to use the service for months. Additionally, the default DNS service can reject your DNS requests. I've had times where even when disconnected from the VPN I've been unable to use the internet altogether because their DNS service won't respond. Additionally the windows client often will revert from my choice of using my ISP's DNS when disconnected to back to witopia DNS and then refuse to connect to any of my networking services. I've had to remove the client various times from various Windows machines and flag this bug. Unfortunately I have a multi-year subscription that I cannot end, I pray for the day for the subscription to be over.
